Ni No Kuni looks absolutely stunning. Studio Ghibli's legendary artwork alongside Level-5's roleplaying prowess should be a recipe for greatness, and we were delighted to learn that the PS3 exclusive RPG will be localised for Europe courtesy of Namco Bandai. However, Namco has confirmed that it won't release in our neck of the woods until Q1 2013 - which will give them time to lavish attention on the English dub. The original Japanese voice work will also be included with subtitles for those who want the full authentic experience.
The European version will feature English, French, Italian, German and Spanish subtitles along with the Japanese and English dubs.
We have worked very hard on Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and it has been a great honour to collaborate with Studio Ghibli and [composer] Joe Hisaishi, so it was important for me that players outside Japan also have the best experience of the game we can give them.
To make this possible, we decided to invest the time in localising the game so that as many people as possible across Europe can enjoy the full experience in their own language. - Level-5 boss Akihiro Hino
Japanese and import reviews are extremely promising, and we're looking forward to this one.
