But Multiplayer Definitely Included In Some Form
Reconfirming what we already knew, developers Naughty Dog have stated that Co-op for the main campaign will not be present in their upcoming title The Last Of Us. In an interview with Gaming Examiner, Creative Director Neil Druckerman and Game Director Bruce Straley did tease that there would be some kind of online features, but gave no details as to what they would entail.
"We are supporting multiplayer with The Last of Us," Druckmann said. "We're not ready to talk about the details of how multiplayer will be implemented, however we can say that it is not co-op within the main campaign."
Will it end up being a Dark Souls-esque message system? Perhaps a competitive mode similar to the Spys Vs Mercs in previously seen in Splinter Cell? Only time will tell, but we will bring you the gritty details as they emerge. [Gaming Examiner]
