Notch: Minecraft's Endermen Were "A Horrible Idea"

Version 1.8 Mob Being Nerfed In Future Update

Minecraft's v.1.8 patch added the adventure mode and a slew of new upgrades, most of which have gone down a storm with the community. With the exception of one thing: the Endermen. These block-stealing baddies cause no end of aggravation by nicking blocks out of players' painstakingly-designed structures, and even Notch has to admit that this ability was probably a bad idea.

In a recent tweet, Mojang founder Markus "Notch" Persson stated that: "By the way, I will nerf the endermen block carrying. It was a horrible idea."

We assume that this balance issue will be addressed in patch 1.9 ahead of the official November release.

Could be lost in translation (although Notch's English is infinitely better than my Swedish) but I think he meant that the Endermen's ability to move blocks was horrible, not the mob itself, as your headline suggests...?

I tried to clarify it in the Sub-header and text, but yes, the Mob won't be removed - just nerfed and balanced.
