I'm a big Zelda fan, but even I find it hard to justify picking up the 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time. I've played it to death - literally, the cartridge died - and even the idea of wandering around Hyrule in 3D doesn't interest me. I'm just not that guy. Nintendo, to their credit, in an effort to encourage old fans and entice others, have included a brand spanking new mode in Ocarina of Time on the 3DS; Boss Challenge.
Boss Challenge allows you to revisit your climactic duels with any of the eight dungeon bosses and series' big bad, Ganondorf. You can either opt to battle them by themselves or all in a row, testing your true Zelda mettle against an onslaught of gigantic one-eyed spiders, cave-dwelling fire dragons and monstrous amoeba. It'll be interesting to see how well received the mode is, and Nintendo is also including a series of pop-up videos during the game to show you what is neccesary to overcome certain obstacles and challenges, should you encounter any difficulty. That's not how we did it in my day... [Eurogamer]
