Official Wii Nunchuk Controller add-on £10.15 @ Amazon UK [Nintendo Wii Games]For Nintendo Wii owners, getting your hands on additional Remotes and Nun-chuk adds-ons is never cheap. Indeed, it’s no wonder that Nintendo continue to make such an obscene profit flogging all these flimsy bits of plastic – probably mass produced for about 20p each – for sometimes as much as £25. However, in a great deal over on Amazon, you can get hold of a brand new, official Wii Nunchuk Controller add-on for just £10.35. This is a great price; especially when you consider that a previous deal over on HUKD, which saw the nunchuk going for around £12, attracted some massive amounts of heat.

For those who are unaware, the Wii Nunchuk is a secondary Nintendo Wii controller which plugs into the standard Wii remote. It is a fairly essential piece of hardware which gives the player a more intricate level of control through an analogue stick which compliments the more basic interactions performed with the normal Wii Remote. When used in conjunction, both controllers allow the player to enjoy some of the more traditional, less casual game formats like 1st and 3rd person shooters amongst others.

For me, this set up worked particularly well in Resident Evil 4 – a game which despite being pretty rubbish on PC, was probably one of the best shooter titles on the Wii. Using a traditional Playstation remote to aim weapons and navigate through the environment always felt awkward in prior Resident Evil titles. However, whilst using the standard Wii remote to aim your weapons, and the analogue stick to control movement, the gameplay of Resident Evil 4 felt more fluid than ever before  (although it did take a little while to get used to). Overall however, this deal will probably be most appealing to gamers looking to add an extra nunchuk to their second Wii remote (but just make sure you get in there while stocks last).
