Slant Six Games and Capcom today introduce us to one of the worst mercenary groups in the history of gaming. After failing to take down just two innocent Raccoon City police officers, the gang inadvertently stumble upon one of the city's zombie hordes. Having said that, the video itself is actually pretty awesome, despite lacking any gameplay footage at all.
Taking place during the events of the second and third (and arguably best) games in the series, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City draws heavily from the phenomenally successful 'Left4Dead' style of multiplayer gaming. Alongside the single player (which will allegedly affect events further along the franchise's story arc), co-operative multiplayer will pit Umbrella's Security Service against an opposing team of Special Operations soldiers, each with their own objectives, both having to defend themselves against some of Raccoon City's more 'violent' residents.
Not much else is known at this point, but we can fairly certain that come E3 the information will be flowing in thick and fast, and I for one will welcome it. Will Resident Evil: ORC be more than Left 4 Dead set in Raccoon City, or have Capcom just run out of new ideas? Have your say in the comments below.
