Order Up is a surprisingly fun little game for the Wii that's well worth a look in if you are a fan of pretending to cook and have not had enough after doing so with Mama or Jamie.
Game are currently offering Order Up for under a fiver and for less than half the price of the next best from Choices, who are selling the game for £11.98 including postage.
You might have to start as a lowly assistant in everyone's favourite fast food chain, "Burger Face", but thankfully in video game world, it doesn't take long before you are leaping up the ladder towards your ultimate goal of restauranteur extraordinaire stardom.
Order Up uses the Wii's motion sensitive controls to great effect, allowing you to chop, grate and slice with a flourish with tight response. The better your cooking skills the higher your tips will be and the more moolah you take, the quicker you will climb the dizzying culinary heights.
The graphics are bright, fun and cartoony, though frankly I find the weeble-esque character models slightly terrifying. Order Up is not the deepest or most complex of games but it is simple, fun and addictive with a great mix of cooking tasks and challenges. The game has a decent shelf life as it will take you a good while to become the ultimate restaurant mogul but the lack of multiplayer seems like a sadly missed opportunity.
I'm not the biggest fan of casual games but for less than £5 Order Up is worth a try.
