Another Coup For Sony's Subscription
Outlast was single-handedly responsible for raising underwear sales by 500% when it released last year (a figure I somewhat appropriately pulled out of my posterior), terrifying PC gamers and making Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs look tame in comparison. It's first-person horror at its nerve-shredding finest, though sadly we didn't get our hands on it in time to review.
However, it looks like we'll have another chance since Outlast is set to make its PS4 debut next month. Whereupon, in even better news, it will be free for PlayStation Plus members!
According to the official Facebook page, "Outlast will be free in February for all PlayStation Plus users (PS4 only)." We previously knew that it was slated for a February 5th release, but as far as freebies go, this is a bit of a corker.
It doesn't get clearer than that, basically. Though we can't be 100% sure that this will be the case in Europe as well as the US, the simultaneous free rollout of Don't Starve suggests that it probably will.
Another seriously impressive coup for PlayStation Plus, perhaps doubly so if recent rumours are to be believed. GamePointsNow purports that BioShock Infinite and Metro: Last Light will join the instant game collection next month, alongside Dynasty Warriors Next and Modnation Racers on Vita. The subsequent official confirmation regarding Outlast certainly lends their report some serious weight.
Oh ambassador, with this PlayStation Plus you are really spoiling us. Out of interest, what games would you like to see hit the instant game collection?
