OUYA has revealed the first full image of its prototype controller in the latest Kickstarter backer update, showing off thumbstick position and its two grab handles.
"Feast your eyes upon the latest images of the OUYA controller and console," the missive reads. "Please note that the design is still in progress--but we couldn’t hold out any longer. We needed you to know that the controller has two handles. You can hold it in both hands."
"P.S. We're still deciding on the buttons. For now, we've stuck with the colored circles as placeholders. But don't fret, we won't leave out colorblind gamers."
As you can see, the OUYA controller features two thumbsticks in familiar locations, opting for the priority position championed by the Wavebird and Xbox 360 peripherals. The black panel will act as a touchpad (almost certainly capacitive, making it glass), while the two grab handles will hopefully be comfortable thanks to Jambox designer Yves Behar's input. What do you make of it?
