Developers take note! The minds behind the Kickstarter-boosted Android mini-console, the Ouya, have united with Kill Screen to present the 10 Day Create event in the hopes of boosting the numbers of titles available for the device.
Running from January 14 - 23, budding devs will be able to submit both complete submissions and works in progress, with an eye towards winning the main prize of $20,000. In addition to that, there'll be a $5,000 bonus incentive for the winner should they actually release the game for the Ouya.
Considering that both Ouya and Kill Screen have been happily enabled by crowdfunding in the past, the event is looking to be something of a Kickstarter love-in too:
"When you complete your submission, we hope some of you will see that it is far enough along to take to Kickstarter -- if you need additional funding to finish the game. Kickstarter enabled both OUYA and Kill Screen to exist, and now it's a great source of financial and moral support for many great games already announced that are coming to OUYA."
Judges for the contest will include Fez creator Phil Fish, Felicia Day, Adam Saltsman, and Ed Fries. Click here for more details.
