OUYA Releases Most Wanted Games Survey

As the OUYA "hackable" console Kickstarter merrily sails past $4,350,000, the company has released a questionaire to canvas the sort of games that players would like to see on the Android platform.

You can currently vote for the games you're most interested in over at Surveymonkey. Before you get too excited, none of these games have been confirmed for the platform, and the survey is primarily designed to gauge what genres players are interested in rather than franchises. Plus, several of these games simply won't work on the Tegra3-powered console without serious modification. Or streaming?

Either way, here's the list.

  • Skyrim (Bethesda)
  • Need for Speed (EA)
  • Battlefield (EA)
  • Terraria (Re-Logic)
  • League of Legends (Riot)
  • Super Meat Boy (Team Meat)
  • FIFA (EA)
  • Final Fantasy (Square)
  • Mass Effect (EA)
  • Call of Duty (Activision)
  • Assassin’s Creed (Ubisoft)
  • Battletoads (Tradewest)
  • Grand Theft Auto (Rockstar)
  • Limbo (Playdead)
  • Minecraft (Mojang)
  • Torchlight (Runic)
  • Fez (Polytron)
  • Timesplitter (Eidos)
  • Bastion (Supergiant)
  • Dungeon Defenders (Trendy)

It's likely that, rather than these big-name games, OUYA will be defined by small indie and homebrew developers who can freely create games for the emergent Android system. 400 dev kits have already been reserved via Kickstarter, so there should be a hefty number of incoming titles.

That said, I'd love to get Timesplitters up and running.

We recently took an in-depth look into what the OUYA could mean for gaming - check it out here.
