PDC World Championship Darts 2009 £11.95 @ Zavvi [Wii game]

If you've been gripped by this year's championship darts then why not recreate the tension, the atmosphere and similar athletic conditions right in your very living room? So your average darts player might not have the same body shape as an Olympic sprinter but it's still a skill. No matter if you're a huge fan of darts or are just after some fun, this official PDF game brings all the tension and frustrations of darts to your living room. Currently Zavvi.com are selling this a few pence less than Gameplay and £3 less than next cheapest Play.com. With the darts on TV demand for this is high and it's out of stock at many stores, so snap up a copy while you can.

The Wii comes into its own with this game, any other console would have to use a less than satisfying system but with the Wiimote you actually hold the controller like it's a dart and 'throw' it at the screen. The system has been totally overhauled from the 2008 edition, so it'll feel as realistic as possible. Depending on how seriously you take your darts, you can opt to have two levels of assist in throwing or to go it alone and turn it off completely!

Being the official PDC World Championship game you can expect to meet 18 professional PDC players, going toe-to-toe at the oche against them. Design your own player and pick your own barrel weight, flights, dress and even how you walk into the arena! Competition is more subtle than you might think, all the players have a raft of stats influencing how they play throughout a game, even having them buckle under pressure. So if you want to emulate your latest darts hero there's no better way than on the Wii, well, unless you buy a dartboard.PDC World Championship Darts 2009 £11.95 @ Zavvi [Wii game]
