Well, it’s finally happened folks. The Playstation Store has, at long last, returned to operation and is ready to take all of your hard-earned money. Posting updates during the morning on both its website and Twitter stream, the Playstation Blog has unveiled the list of content that has been missed by Playstation owners since the PSN outage began. It also marks the return to operation of voucher code redemption, which means those of you with L.A Noire will finally be able to sample The Naked City DLC.
However, due to excitement from eager Playstation owners it hasn’t been a smooth return for the online store. Users have been reporting an 807 error code when accessing content, reportedly due to the servers buckling from the enormous traffic. Fear not though, as there will be “improvements in speed as the day progresses,” according to a post on the PS Blog by Sony Europe’s Nick Caplin, so if you are getting errors at the moment check again later on in the day to get your spend on.
In addition, those of you hoping to claim your Welcome Back gifts may be a little disappointed as the system is still in the final stages of being checked. We're going to have to wait a little longer for those freebies, but as soon as the program is ready we'll be sure to post an update to alert you all.
The full list of the mega update can be seen on the Playstation Blog here. The main highlight is the Ultimate Teams content for FIFA 11, although demos for the superhero antics of Infamous 2 and the destructive action of Red Faction: Armageddon are also available for download.
