Portal Takes Best Game Award At BAFTAS, Results In Full

Valve's superb puzzle-platformer, Portal 2, swept home with three victories at last night's British Academy Video Game Awards, coming out on top for Best Design, Best Story, and snatching the coveted best Game Award too.

Kudos should also go to EA and DICE, as Battlefield 3 also went home with three awards, winning trophies for Online Multiplayer and Audio Achievement, as well as leading the pack in the public vote, and winning the GAME Award.

Our own Game of the Year for 2011 - Skyrim - left empty-handed, despite being nominated in five categories, and there were no triumphs on the night for the likes of Uncharted 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, or Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Portal 2 was good, but I much preferred the story to "To The Moon". Wonder if that was nominated...

BF3 for audio, fully agree... love switching the sub on for that (my neighbours at 1am, less so).

I loved Portal 2 and though the story was great, so I agree with that too, though lots of people seemed to not like P2 that much.
