Predator hunts down Call Of Duty: Ghosts in next map pack

Call Of Duty: Ghosts' upcoming map pack -- Devastation -- is another downloadable dollop of four arenas, an Extinction mode scenario and a foldaway assault rifle that moonlights as an SMG.

Both of which have been thoroughly upstaged by none other than the freaking Predator, who's set to make a cameo at the very least.

Up to speed? The new maps (Ruins, Behemoth, Collision, and Unearthed) look pleasingly colourful and nuanced, but let's face it, we're here to talk about The Predator. He appears on the map 'Ruins' in some capacity - most likely a field order killstreak, invisibility killstreak or a new game mode wherein one player hunts down his fellows using stealth camouflage.

We'll find out very soon, since Devastation releases this week on Xbox Live. Personally I've found it difficult to return to CoD after sampling the joys of massive robots and parkour - but will the Predator entice us back?

I wish Activision would do a proper Predator or AVP game. With a tried and tested CoD engine and their usual sky high production values we might finally have a solid game to wipe away the memories of Gearbox's Colonial Marines...

Nothing will wipe away the abysmal memories of Colonial Marines, not even a week on LV426.

Original AVP was about the only half decent one.

Hopefully Alien: Isolation will break the trend - Creative Assembly seem to be on the right track judging by their pre-alpha build.

But it's early days, and after the complete duplicity surrounding A:CM, we're not going to count any disgusting alien/chicken hybrids.
