We've been waiting for an FPS game to take advantage of the Kinect sensor, but somehow I don't think this is quite what we were hoping for. Heavy Fire Afghanistan, developed by Mastiff Games, is an on-the-rails shooter where you clear out terrorist strongholds, rescuing hostages and piloting helicopters. The follow-up to WiiWare's Heavy Fire: Special Operations and Black Arms, it's due on the Wii and PS3, too, presumably with Move support.
We've got a trailer, but I'm not sure I'd recommend watching it. I'm pretty sure I've seen better looking original Xbox games. I suppose it is the sequel to a WiiWare title, so expectations should be aligned accordingly. Still, our wait for a definitive Kinect game taking advantage of its full-body motion sensing support goes on.
But maybe you are interested in Heavy Fire Afghanistan? Well, if you are, expect shooting numerous terrorist foe in the face, in a variety of locations from caves to forests. You can expect to pilot helicopters, ride in tanks and trucks and deliver and endure the titular 'Heavy Fire'. We'll keep you posted as this develops. [Eurogamer]
