
As well as announcing the drop date and pricing for the Wii U in Japan, Nintendo also revealed pricing for launch titles New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land in Japan.
Both games will launch alongside the console itself on December 8th, with New Super Mario Bros. U costing ¥6,000 ($77/£48) and Nintendo Land priced at ¥5,040 ($64/£40)
The Pro Controller, Nintendo's more traditional twin-stick game pad, will also retail for ¥5,000 at Japanese launch, with the Wii U Game Pad costing nearly three times as much.
American and European streams tailored to the specific regions will broadcast live at 3pm BST today.
