Anyone else having problems with COD:Ghosts codes?
I bought it from Game (instore, physical copy). It installed just fine, and I've been playing it for a couple of days.
The game came with an insert with two codes printed on it (25-digit codes, rather than the newfangled QR codes). One is for 7 days of Gold membership, the other is for the "Freefall" map.
Neither code is working. Tried on the xbox One console, and got no joy, so then tried on the pc whilst logged into my account.
I'm in the UK. I input my region as UK in the console's settings and on my xbox live account. The game was bought in the UK. The game was new and sealed.
I tried xbox support (chat window on my pc), and they told me I need to speak to Activision. Spoke to someone from activision (another chat window) for about an hour two days ago and he promised to get back to me - but I've heard nothing yet.
Looking around on t'interweb I've seen others are having the same problem - and have worked around it by changing their console settings to say they're in the USA. I don't fancy doing that, though, unless I can be certain you can change it straight back, without any sort of penalty.
Anyone else had a similar experience?
