PS4! Who's Got One, And How's It Treating You?

"Next-Gen" is now "current-gen" here in the UK. It's official. After seven years of continually upping their game on PS3, Sony made sure to hit the ground running this generation - deploying a sleek black console with powerful hardware and a seriously attractive price tag.

So it's time to sound off: did you buy a PS4 today? Queue up at midnight? Had one pre-ordered? If so, let us know how you're getting on with it!

Matt's come down with an acute case of the probablyjustplayingps4-itis (can't say I blame him really!), but our full review will be ready very soon. Remember to check out all the reviews, articles and video coverage already on-site.

Anyway, here are a few fun things floating around the net today.

It's not often I use the words "inspired advertising" and "The Sun newspaper" in the same sentence, but here's what greeted lascivious buyers expecting Rosie, 22 from Middlesex:

PS4! Who's Got One, And How's It Treating You?

And how's this for a little friendly competition. Aww.

Anyway, have a happy launch day - whether you went to work or totally got pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis overnight. Nasty disease that. I'd suggest at least a long weekend of complete R&R.

Mine won't display on either of the Toshiba TVs in my house but it does display on the Samsung. This is pretty annoying to say the least.

Edit. Apparently it's a problem with older TV's not having HDCP.. had to drag newer tv through house, do update, and now it works on the Toshibas.

Absolutely loving it. Got Miikeyblue, Revzman and pcangeldust down in history! The first picture of HUKD on a ps4 worldwide! Probably lol.

As I say, i'm loving it. Killzone is great and i'm determined to give it the time it deserves. So not getting Cod or BF. Bf not yet anyhoo.

All updates and downloads went smooth and quick. Took me ages to turn it on I thought it was doa until I turned it on by accident. Found it this afternoon. The install times are unbelievable. So quickly into games.

All in all, well happy. Can't wait to see next years offerings, they're going to blow us away!

I've got it. But like the XBOX One I bought last week, I probably won't have a chance to play on it for a while.

@DrTrouserPlank - do you have a link to more info? I also can't get mine to work with a Toshiba TV

Was pretty unimpressed for a launch day. Took a full reboot before it would recognise the controller (why in the heck did we have to attach it by USB anyway?). PSN network was on its knees so couldn't get on the store for 7 hours to get resogun and contrast. Instead played 2 hours of kill zone which really failed to impress! By 8pm I was back on the Xbox One!

For anyone who's interested. Remote play away from home is perfectly viable. Currently away from home using my phone's internet connection to play Assassin's Creed IV from my PS4 and it still functions well as I type this. No discernable input lag either. Job well done Sony.

On a separate note still not really touched the XB1.

Sounds promising!! Can't wait to play Killzone in the bath on Sunday when I get home from graft!!

Yeah, it's pretty good. Getting on with the controller which is always a good start. Took a while to get online on Friday but updates came down and were quick. Talking of online, the PSN on the PS4 is bullet fast for me, the PS3 PSN is awful. PS fan boys always blame my network connection, but the fact that PS3 is slow and PS4 is really quick shows it was Sony after all. No shock there. But anyways, it's nice to click on a video and have it play straight away and have downloads blast through.

As for games, I only got Killzone and I am loving the graphics on it. Not just the fact that they look really good, the movement is really slick and not jerky. This is good, better than I thought it would be.

As an existing PS+ customer, I got and have completed Contrast (cute little game, well worth a go) and I have had a go a Defender... no, Resogun. That's good too.

The camera, which I have little interest in, works pretty well... but meh.

All in all, happy customer, just need some new games!
