Supergiant, Tribute, 17-Bit & More Signed Up
Sony has been reaching out to indie developers left, right and centre - and have secured quite the selection of games from new and established studios alike. Whether it's a new game from the crew behind Bastion, Scott Pilgrim and Skulls Of The Shogun or a crazy rushed tech demo of OctoDad, there's plenty of indie loving to go around.
We've got the full list after the break.
Transistor, the new game from Bastion creator Supergiant Games, will be console-exclusive to the PS4 at launch, though will also release on PC/Steam. We've been utterly entranced by this proposition and humming the soundtrack for weeks now, and the mere thought of it makes me weak at the knees. It's four in the morning, by the way, so be aware that my internal monologue is probably starting to run into the prose.
Mark of the Ninja and Shank developer Klei Entertainment are bringing moody roguelike Don't Starve to the platform. Tribute Games' (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) Mercenary Kings joins Young Horses' epic physics blunderfest Octodad, along with a new title from 17-Bit Studios, who spent years creating Skulls Of The Shogun for Xbox 360 and Windows 8. Galak-Z is looking amazing, as is Switchblade Monkeys' isometric western shooter Secret Ponchos.
If that wasn't enough, we've also got a brand new Oddworld game in the works, exclusively for the PS4, in Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty.
For me, this was the moment Sony won today - all the rest of it was just the proverbial icing.
