Four PS4 Trailers Bring The Quadruple Hype

Hype. Hype. Hype. Hype!

That's quadruple hype right there, which is how Sony takes care of business. They've released four new trailers for the upcoming PlayStation 4, each of which covers a different facet of the experience - from the DualShock 4 controller to PS Vita remote play.

We've got them all below, though your monitors cannot withstand hype of this magnitude.

Yeah. Pretty standard.

All it really did was make me want to play Watch_Dogs and discover that I like the look of The Order.

Ads 2, 3, and 4 are all fine - showing the games, highlighting the exclusive content, and showing the Vita functionality. Much better advert 1 boasting their new controller has triggers and two analogue sticks. Really? Wow.

Agreed that Watch Dogs and The Order both look fantastic.

Actually Late, I am going to have to disagree with you on that. I thought the controller advert was the best of the bunch.

Games are games, they come and go. The controller will be for the life of the system. It did make me think the controller looks like it will be pretty awesome. Not awesome enough to sell the system, but enough to mean I am now looking forward to using it.

The Vita remote play however, is a joke. Having to run your PS4 so you can stream the screen to your Vita just seems like a pointless waste of power. You already have remote play with the PS3 and quite frankly, I can't see the point in it.
But I guess there must be some demand for this somewhere.

Your comments about Remote Play seem a bit naive.

How would you expect Remote Play to work without your PS4 being on?

Remote Play on PS4 is completely different to Remote Play on PS3. On PS4 you can actually play PS4 games whereas on PS3 there were hardly any games that Remote Play could work with.

LOL, so by remote play being different, you mean it will be exactly the same, just it works with more games.

Cross play, now that's a much better idea. A game being playable on both. If you were clever, you could develop the game to work on both systems and share saves and storage via the cloud. That would work better and not require you to power on your PS4.

I have the Vita and the PS3 and aside from seeing how it works, this is a feature I have never used and have no interest in. Maybe it will be different with the PS4, but I doubt it.

Paying to power your PS4 so you can play a game on the Vita when I have games actually on my Vita already that wont suffer with any wireless network lag still seems daft.
