iOS/Android Versions Delayed
Trent Oster has announced that the PC version of Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will launch from 8pm GMT (1pm MST) today, but that the tablet versions of the game have bee delayed slightly.
"We're releasing at 1:00 MST time so we can batten down the hatches and be certain everything is in order before the flood," Oster reported on Twitter.
The delays on iOS. In the case of the App Store, the game fell foul of certification at the last hurdle. "The iOS build is not approved," Oster further revealed. "We've found a crash bug and had to re-submit, which pushes us to the back of the line. I'd guess next week."
The Android fix, however, might take a little longer as the issue appears to be "cross-platform":
"Android is trailing iOS. Our current crash is cross-platform, so the fixes are for all platforms. Legacy code bites again."
Additionally, Oster stated the cross-platform cloud-save feature would not be operational at launch, though he did say that until it's patched in at a later date "you can manually transfer save games across platforms if you wish in the meantime".
