PSA: Free Limbo for day-one Xbox One owners

JonLester |  Nov. 25, 2014 at 12:13

Microsoft have been giving away free digital copies of Limbo to certain Xbox One owners, myself and some members of our community included, but not others.

They've finally revealed the criteria: it's only for those who played the Xbox One on its launch weekend!

"We're looking forward to launching 'Limbo' on Xbox One. As a thank you to our earliest adopters, fans who played their Xbox One the first weekend of launch received early, free access to the game." - via Videogamer

So there we go. It's nice to feel appreciated.

Nice bonus. I'd already completed it on the 360 and I don't think it's a game with much replay value, but it's years since I played it and I thoroughly enjoyed playing it again on Sunday.

Some fairly easy gamerscore there, too, for those that way inclined. 70gs for walking a few paces left at the start of the game? Dayum.
Not sure about the achievement for completing the game in one sitting with less than 5 deaths though - that'll be a killer!

Haha, yeah, the "wrong way" achievement might be one of the easiest 70G ever in terms of effort in -> Gamerscore out!

To be honest I never hugely rated Limbo (felt the monochrone art style excused a fairly generic puzzler), but it's still a nice gesture that I'll dip back into every once in a while.
