PSA: We're Doing A Podcast, Starts This Weekend

It's coming. A full season of informative chat, witty (and not so witty banter), rant-inducing provocation, discussions of gaming culture and declarations of  industry love - the Dealspwn podcast is almost here. The first episode will be going live on the site over the weekend, so watch this space. Jon, Carl and myself sit down and cast a retrospective eye over the past few weeks, natter about the games we've been reviewing, chat about the state of the industry and also have a glance at what lies ahead.

Topics include:

  • Carl's Ongoing Adventures in SWTOR
  • NeverDead
  • SoulCalibur V
  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
  • Why Jon's fighting game power would be endless crying
  • The plight of GAME and how we can fix it
  • The used games debate and the future of retail.

...and much more!

We've tried to keep it as conversational and informal as possible and you should be warned that there may be some few instances of strong language.

This being a pilot episode, though, nothing is as yet set in stone. We're still exploring possibilities and playing around with certain things, but do give us your feedback if you have a listen, we'd love to hear what you think.

Ive always wondered if you guys get paid full time or get paid a bit but have reg jobs or dont get paid at all. DO you get your games sent to you by publishers or do you have to buy them? Basically explain your whole operation to me please, thanks.

We do receive review copies for a number of games from publishers and PR companies, although we often buy them ourselves too.

Unfortunately we can only accept volunteer contributions at the moment.
