PSA: Scammer selling illicit/fake copies of Darkest Dungeon, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, LEGO Batman 3 & more on Windows Store

If you actually use the Windows Store to buy videogames -- I know, but there's probably someone out there -- remember that when something is 'too good to be true,' it usually is. Case in point, arkest Dungeon, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, Farming Simulator 2015 and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham are being sold for ridiculously low prices from one Balaji Chowdary.

This should have been smoking-gun proof that these copies weren't legit, but just in case you were in any doubt about the authenticity of the seller, the file size clocks in at about 2MB. Meaning that it's probably malware or a Bitcoin miner, let's face it.

So, naturally, don't buy them and make sure to exercise a little basic common sense while browsing the Windows Marketplace, or indeed any marketplace, to avoid being ripped off. Thanks to Red Hook Studios' Tyler Sigman for blowing the whistle and Gooner for the tip!

UPDATE: It appears that Microsoft has removed the Darkest Dungeon listing.
