More PSN Maintenance Hits Tomorrow Afternoon

You know the drill by now:

  1. Scheduled PSN Maintenance. Server downtime.
  2. 16:00 on Thursday 17 November until 02:00 GMT on Friday November 2011.
  3. No PSN sign-in, store access or account management unless you log in before 16:00.

We appreciate the need for enhanced security following the PSN hacking debacle earlier this year, but we're still annoyed that they've decided to once again schedule it for the busiest time of the day. You know, when gamers get home from work or school (or ITV+1's Jeremy Kyle double bill finishes, I won't judge) hungry for online multiplayer action and PSN store purchases. Surely the morning would have been a better time?

EDIT: Yes, it's due to the PST difference, but it's still annoying. [Thanks mightybobbin & DivideByZero]

Probably because those times suit our American colleagues better. Also, for those watching, this is the update that will reduce your number of gameshares from 5 to 2.

Isn't Sony Japanese and isn't 4pm UK in the middle of their night... I would imagine this is why if it's a global thing.

@mightybobbin & DivideByZero: Yeah, that's probably it. Just annoying that us Brits get the short end of the stick.
