PSN Roundup: Store Update 15th September 2010 - Peggle, PAIN & Special OffARRRRRRRRRRRRS!

Welcome once again to another grab bag of PSN savings. As well as the usual slew of special offers, Sony have also slashed the prices off of the Monkey Island series to honour the internationally-reknowned Talk Like a Pirate Day. Arrr!

Special Offers

(Prices available until 29th September)

There are a fair few excellent deals to be found this week- and in fact, let's take it in alphabetical order. PAIN, the insane party game that requires you to hurl a hapless goon out of a massive catapult for fun and profit, has been slashed to a wallet-friendly £3.19, making it perfect for an impulse party purchase. Peggle has also been reduced to just under four quid, which is the low price that many have been holding out for. Trust me, you'll be hooked the first time that Extreme Fever kicks off the Ode to Joy. Finally, Mega Man 10 has finally received a price cut- which is a much more appropriate level in my opinion. It's going to be an expensive week!

  • PAIN (was £6.29, now £3.19)
  • PAIN - Amusement Park (was £3.99, now £2.39)
  • PAIN - Movie Studio (was £3.99, now £2.39)
  • Peggle (was £6.29, now £3.19)
  • Mega Man 10 (£7.99, now £3.99)
  • Age of Booty (was £7.99, now £3.99)
  • World of Pool (PSP) (was £6.29, now £4.79)
  • Stateshift (PSP) (was £6.29, now £4.79)
  • WWII: Battle Over the Pacific (PSP) (was £6.29, now £4.79)
  • Vibes (mini) (was £3.99, now £2.49)

'Talk Like A Pirate Day' Celebrations

(Prices available until 22nd September)

The Monkey Island series represents one of the finest and funniest adventure outings of all time; and Guybrush Threepwood's expoits are the stuff of legend. This new bootylicious special offer reduces both the Secret of Monkey Island and LeChuck's Revenge to £3.99, which is a great way to fill the gap in your classic SCUMM engine education. If you're lacking both titles, I'd seriously suggest the bundle, which will save you a further £2 on top of the already impressive saving. Nice one Sony.

Ah, we source and research the PSN/XBLA roundups directly rather than from Hot UK Deals. However, as a regular with an eye for a great deal, you definitelydeserve some credit. :) Cheers!

EDIT: There's a great dialogue on the HUKD thread if anyone has questions about the update.

Thanks Jonathan.

I had already noticed you had listed the Steam, & iPod delivery channels for both the first two titles in the "Monkey Island" franchise as well as "Tales of Monkey Island Full 5 Episode Season" for the PC & Mac with credits to HotUKDeals members, so I was feeling somewhat left out ;)

Seriously, though, thanks for posting in my deal thread & your recognition of my past efforts at HotUKDeals.com.

Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day to you & your colleagues ! :)

BFN,

fp.
