PSN Store Update | PSP Power!

This week's Playstation Store update continues Sony's PSP Power Sale: an enormous swathe of downloadable discounts on full games and minis for Sony's handheld. We've got the full list of bargains after the break, but for now, the best value is probably to be found with JRPG Breath Of Fire III at its new price of £3.99 and the Power Stone Collection at the same affordable level. Note that some of the "discounts" are actually more expensive than buying a physical copy online, so be sure to plug the prices into Gamebase and let our other readers know what you're spending your dosh on!

It's also worth noting that Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 1 is now permanently free of charge. You'll have to pay full whack for the bundle though.

In terms of new releases, Deathspank's latest adventure The Baconing has now hit the PSN Store (with a discount and extra character if you pre-ordered it at part of Sony's PLAY promotion) along with Four Elements HD. We gave this puzzler 8/10 on the Nintendo DS, so it's probably worth a look.

Oh, and the Resistance 3 beta is now no longer a Plus members only affair. Get on it.

As always, check out the details after the break or over at the EU Playstation blog!

actually the psp sale was part of last weeks update not this weeks.

this week was another really poor update, no psp games & no ps1 classics (IF you can call them that!).

Is PSN Plus still on Offer?

JonLester  Sep. 1, 2011 at 12:19

@quidditys_shore: You bet, hence we used the word "continues." Otherwise, it's a fairly shocking update unless you're a huge fan of Deathspank.

@Jerec: RE PSN Plus, I don't think so.
