Industry trade body UKIE published a report this week essentially using statistics to paint a picture of a United Kingdom that has truly taken gaming to its heart, presenting data that shows more and more people are playing games, and profiling a gaming audience that is continuing to increase in size and diversity. We chat about why and how this change has happened, how the word "gamer" is losing meaning, we skirt the surface of gamification, we discuss why the VGAs are a bloody shambles, and we select our favourite games to play post-turkey on Boxing Day with the family.
We also start coming up with our Christmas single...through some improvisation of frankly debatable quality.
Parental Advisory: We've tried to keep it as conversational and informal as possible, and you should be warned that there may be quite a few instances of strong language.
