Sorry everyone, here's a new Rambo: The Video Game trailer

Sorry everyone, here's a new Rambo: The Video Game trailer

Not exactly the most glowing compliment imaginable, but every time I see more of Rambo: The Video Game, I can't help but admire its steadfast refusal to raise our expectations. Following what can only be described as a hilariously terrible trailer last year, the perennial tie-in has received some slightly less atrocious footage entitled 'Machine Of War.' We assume that 'War Machine' was trademarked, then.

Teyon's FPS is set to be a mix of traditional shooting with some stealth sections, "QTE Fights" (no, really) and turret sections. Grunts will also get stabbed in the throat on a regular basis, or stand around motionless watching Rambo as he blows up a truck behind them.

Look: this is happening, and there's absolutely nothing we can do to stop it. Hopefully Rambo: The Video Game will at least manage to provide some simple and satisfying fun when it releases on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you make of it.

I'll request a review copy... whether they'll actually issue any is another matter entirely.

@Rooten: fun fact: we're all privy to the same Reef Entertainment press releases and trailers (EDIT: and on the same mailing lists). We've been following this game for months now - a little overlap is inevitable from time to time.

Oh boy I hope you do get a review copy Jon. Enjoy reading how dire a predictably dire game is. More disappointing when you have any hopes at all for it of course.
Going to predict again: 1 out of 10 with the only plus being that it's over quickly.

Its weird though, as sometimes the lighting effects and graphics do look ok, then it changes to pure visual dogshit, crazy that anyone can look at this and think "Yeah we've done a good job" and "This is just what the gaming world is looking for!"

There are people starving on this planet, and people are wasting money and time on things like this....terrible.

I physically lolled (as opposed to metaphorically lolled) at the explosion particle effects.

I love a **** game as much as the next person (I still take great pleasure in my lord of the rings 'YOU SHALL NOT PASS!' Gandalf spam), but this really is a step too far.

You're all missing the really important information here that Jerec has unveiled with his comment.

The word Dogshit gets past our automated swearing asterisk/censorship system. Enjoy yourselves kids :)
