Rambo: The Videogame Draws First Blood With Teaser & Screens

Reef Entertainment's mysterious Rambo game has broken cover, revealing an FPS that takes players through "iconic action sequences from the original three legendary Rambo movies." And cover shooting. We've got more details, the first screenshots and a film footage mashup after the break.

In development by Teyon, Rambo: The Videogame will feature (say it with me now) destructible terrain, cover-based shooting and rag-doll physics; portraying key scenes from the first three Rambo films. It's slated to release on "consoles" and PC, so we're expecting a PS3 and Xbox 360 version.

“For RAMBO ® THE VIDEO GAME we are concentrating on authenticity to the films, variety of action and explosive gameplay sequences," says Reef Entertainment Commercial Director Craig Lewis. "By matching classic fixed-perspective play to a contemporary game engine we believe we can deliver a game that matches the pace and action set-piece diversity of the films."

Reef Entertainment released three debut screenshots showing off the game's environments (click to embiggen). More details and footage will be revealed during Gamescom.

Looks even better than the Spectrum version. High praise indeed.
