... And Delayed By Seven Months
Shocking news for Wii U owners today, in that Rayman Legends has been grievously delayed from later this month to September. However, it's fantabulous news for everyone else, since the hotly-anticipated platformer will release simultaneously on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Whoa.
"We heard from many Xbox and Playstation owners and Rayman fans who told us they really wanted to play Rayman Legends on their current system," explained Ubisoft EMEA's Geoffroy Sardin, while neatly avoiding the question of why the Wii U version has been delayed for so long. "We decided to give the fans what they wanted while at the same time broadening the audience exposed to this innovative and memorable game."
This is a major blow for the Wii U, and perhaps suggests that Ubisoft may be getting cold feet about Nintendo's console when taken in context with comments made earlier today.
Well, damn. There's another exclusive down the pan.
