I really enjoyed playing bits of Red Faction: Armageddon, there are plenty of weapons at your disposal and not only can you destroy things, you can rebuild them when the need rises. Unfortunately, with the exception of the destruction element of the game it's a little bit bland. You can get hold of an Xbox 360 copy of the game for £5.99, which'll make you a saving of almost £3 on the next best offer coming in from ShopTo. Thanks to leeds_united_afc @ HUKD.
Red Faction: Armageddon's pretty good fun as you charge around knocking down bit of the environment with ridiculously powerful weapons, or rebuilding dilapidated structures in order to escape heavy enemy fire. Sadly, apart from the destruction aspect of the game it's a little bit on the average side. The voucher code listed above'll reduce the price of the Xbox 360 version down to £4.44 over at Game, which'll make you a saving of over £5.50 on the next best offers out there. Thanks to DocBrown94 @ HUKD.
GAME’s asking price is already the cheapest for this one on both consoles, but by using the voucher code above you can chip it down a tiny bit further. Sure, it’s not the biggest drop at 50p, but it means there’s a save of £3.50 to be had over the next best offer at Bee.
For just under a fiver, it might be finally worth having a look at what is now the final instalment in the Red Faction series. Sure, the action may be a touch generic, but it’s a solid title from start to finish, improves on the gameplay in Guerrilla, and the destructible environments are always fun to tear down. Be sure to check out Dave’s review for the full lowdown. Thanks to robinkurosaki & macdoona @ HUKD!
If you're looking to immerse yourself in all out action, combined with some high powered weaponry, then Red Faction Armageddon might be the game for you. You'll definitely level buildings and blast enemies to pieces during the course of the game, however you'll also get to repair damaged structures, which can lead to some interesting combat tactics. Play are parting with PC copies of the game for £6.99, which'll make you a saving of almost £3 on the next best offer coming in from The Hut. Thanks to Kodoku @ HUKD.
The PC version has seen many a price drop in recent months, but now PS3 and Xbox 360 owners have a chance to get themselves a saving with this deal. The massive price drop from Zavvi means you can save yourself £4 in comparison to the next best offers coming from Amazon and Play. For a tenner, it might be finally worth having a look at this one. Sure, the action may be a touch generic, but it’s a solid title from start to finish, improves on the gameplay in previous instalment Guerrilla, and the destructible environments are always fun to tear down. Be sure to check out Dave’s review for the full lowdown. Thanks to powerbookfan @ HUKD!
Red Faction: Armageddon is fairly good at what it does... but what it does isn't really what we wanted from the Red Faction series. Claustophobic alien killing pales in significance and fun factor next to Guerilla's gleeful, reckless destruction, and the sequel feels like a bit of a step backwards despite being mechanically sound.
On the other hand... it's eight quid. For the special edition. Might as well.
There are plenty of ways to dispatch your enemies, or cause large scale destruction to the environments in Red Faction: Armageddon and that's why it's so much fun to sit back to after a hard day at the office. A lot of the weapons featured in the game don't have enough firepower, but some are more than capable of bringing down a building or two. Amazon are currently selling PC copies of the game for £11.98, which'll save you almost £5 on the next best offer coming in from ShopTo.
You can do the dance of destruction if you pick up Red Faction: Armageddon from ShopTo for £11.86, which'll make you a saving of over £7.50 on the next best offer coming in from Cool Shop UK. The guns featured in the game range from your typical assault rifles, to those that are capable of bringing down multiple buildings with a single shot. You'll also get to slam chunks of wall, or whatever else takes you fancy, into your enemies using the magnet gun, which never gets old.
When you start off playing Red Faction: Armageddon you'll revel in the destruction you can cause to the environment and the punishment you can deal out to your enemies. Then you'll play around with the repair aspect of the game, which'll provide you with new ways of getting out of hostile situations, like blasting a hole in a wall before jumping through it and repairing it afterwards to avoid enemy fire. Cool Shop UK are parting with PC copies of the game for £19.49, which is almost £8 cheaper than the next best offer, however you'll need to be quick because their stock's low.
PC owners can get the latest instalment of the Red Faction series for just under £15 thanks to Zavvi and their latest bunch of deals. It puts a gap of a fiver between Zavvi and Game Centre (who only have one copy left) and then a larger gap of a £10 over the folks at Game (who do have stock.) In addition to the main game the bundle includes two outfits to redeem in game, the titular Commando and Recon outfits, which also come with 2 new weapons each to help you with the action on Mars. As for the game, it may well be an average action title but the enviromental destruction helps to set it apart from the competition, and for £15 is might be worth. Thanks to TomTom101 @ HUKD!
