Ah, The Boondock Saints. A film filled with religious conflict, family disputes and lots of guns. Not content with getting a film sequel (currently available on Netflix), as well as rumours of a third instalment, the MacManus brothers also appear to be making the jump to home consoles.
Under development by Critical Mass Interactive, G4TV spoke to CEO Matt Scibilia about the upcoming game, and he told them that the game is taking the form of a "full-on co-op shooter", headed for PC and Xbox 360, with the possibility of making the jump to PS3 too.
Although the team are gunning for a retail release, the report suggests that it could take the form of episodic downloads if need be. Either way, Scibilia is adamant that it gets done right.
"We don't want to do a crap-ass franchise game," he said. "We're staying true to the content. We're looking to expand the story, not just retell the franchise.
"The Boondock Saints characters are so strong -- the banter, the relationships between Rocco and the brothers, the Catholicism, that will all be featured in the game."
Fingers crossed for Billy Connolly. We'll be hoping to take a closer look at this year's E3.
