A new report suggests that Microsoft are preparing to launch a retail in the UK capital early next year, following on from the launch of the UK online store this summer.
The Verge stated that "sources familiar with the company's plans" have indicated "that the software maker will launch its retail store after an online store launch in the UK — currently scheduled for later this summer".
The same sources also hinted at the possibility that Microsoft might be "contemplating additional stores across London and the UK for similar timed launches".
Neowin spotted that Microsoft recently registered its own private limited company in the UK, no doubt to assist the goal of UK expansion, though it should be noted that sources suggested Microsoft's exact location plans are yet to be finalised.
Those of you with long memories may remember that Microsoft's chief operating officer, Kevin Turner, stated that the company had plans to open 75 new retail stores across a two period at last year's Worldwide Partner Conference. Microsoft currently have 19 stores, with a new ones slated for NYC and Canada later this year
