In the wake of the disastrous PSN hacking debacle, Sony may be readying a major Playstation Store redesign if new reports are to be believed. Reghardware have apparently gotten word that the traditional text-heavy blue screen might soon be replaced by a slick white-on-black affair that provides an image heavy marketplace in line with Steam and XBLA. The film section will ape IMDB's database with easy browsing between actors and directors, along with plenty of movie buff stats and figures to bore your friends with. This update may also include a "deals of the week" section that should make picking up bargains much easier (without having to surf over to the Playstation blogs).
Oh, and what's the betting that security may have been beefed up a few notches?
According to the report, Sony are "quietly readying" the update - and we'll let you know when we hear more or anything to the contrary.
