In this instalment of the Resident Evil series, you won't find yourself walking round a creepy mansion in the dark, or sneaking into a run down European village, instead you'll be jetting off to Africa for a bit of sun and the chance to meet the locals, who have been exposed to something rather unpleasant and are now slightly homicidal.
NB. Remember to use the following code to pick up the game at the advertised price: FTSL15-1
This is a great opportunity to pick up the game at a decent price, provided that you haven't already used Tesco's promotional code otherwise you'll have to part with £15, and'll make you a saving of just over £2 on the next best offer of £14.87 coming in from 101cd.
I really enjoyed this game because in my opinion it's for the fans, as there are mentions of just about every virus that's caused an outbreak of mutants or zombies during the course of the series, Wesker returns to battle it out with you, lickers have been reintroduced for a healthy dose of evisceration, and there are even a couple of references to Umbrella corp thrown into the mix.
The co-op is great fun, particularly when you're playing locally with a friend, although it is possible to have somebody join you over the internet. Unfortunately, the single player becomes incredibly frustrating thanks to your dimwitted AI controlled companion, who'll throw themselves right into the middle of a horde of enemies and'll then use up your precious first aid sprays and ammunition.
If you're a fan of the series then you should definitely give this a go, just make sure you've got a human player watching your back.
