Resident Evil 6 To Feature 70,000+ Zombies & Six Player Co-Op

Capcom has been busy tweeting about the recently-unveiled Resident Evil 6, and it looks like fans of the series will be pleased with where it's heading. Or what they've promised, and any rate. Leon's story setting, the American town of Tall Oaks, will be infested with 70,000 zombies - and the gameplay will offer a "great mix of classic Resident Evil with survival horror moments." Which we assume to mean tense corridor crawling and some crank/gem-based puzzle solving. Resi 6 has apparently been in development for two years, so hopefully it will be a blinder when it releases this November.

The Xbox.com marketplace listing has also shed some light on the game's multiplayer modes. While these details are liable to change, it currently promises cooperative support for two local players or six online, along with 8-player competitive gametypes. We'll keep you posted.

All I need to know is whether it's got the ridiculous "tank-track" movement controls, or whether they've finally ditched it for more traditional tps/fps controls.
Basically, if I can't sidestep/strafe then I won't be buying this.

I want the gameplay and controls to be the same as they have always been. Resi games rely on the fact that you cant just run away whilst popping zombie heads. If they change the mechanics of the game to much it will end up as the zombie mode from COD. I'll be pre ordering asap!
