Boasts PS Move Support And HD Graphics, Obviously
Capcom held an anniversary event earlier today in celebration of Resident Evil's fifteenth birthday. The venerable zombie series shuffles ever closer to its second decade mark, and to round off the undead festivities, Capcom announced an all new RE game for the PS3. Well, it's not quite all new. In fact, it's yet another HD remake/reboot/cash-in slap job, replete with PS Move support and HD visuals.
Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection bundles the recent RE adventures on the Wii, Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles, together replete with a HD makeover and PS Move support. Both Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles originally released on PS3, so it's no surprise to see Capcom cashing in on their success with a bundled version.
It'll delight ardent RE fans, we expect, but here at Dealspwn we're a little bored with the industry's current obsession with HD ports and whatnot. Sure, we love the nostalgia of it all, and it's especially nice when a bit of effort is put in, such as the upcoming Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition, but personally we'd like to see more original content rather than shameless profit pursuits.
