After months of rumours, Capcom has confirmed that excellent 3DS survival horror sequel Resident Evil: Revelations will be coming to home consoles this May.
The home console port will include "high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects and an immersive sound experience," while also adding new weapons and extra characters such as fan-favourite Hunk. The excellent solo/multiplayer Raid mode has also been redesigned, featuring with Residentevil.net stat tracking.
Resident Evil: Revelations will release in Europe on May 24th, for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. It will be a boxed retail release, though will also be subsequently be made available to buy on PSN, Xbox Live marketplace and the Wii U eShop.
I heaped praise on Resident Evil: Revelations in our 9/10 review, though much of that stems from how brilliantly it's suited to the portable 3DS platform. With luck, it will survive the transition.
