Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles £14.85 @ ShopTo [Wii games]

With copies selling out fast, and ShopTo down to their last few copies, you'll need to run to your computer, as if you were being chased by a T-virus enhanced creature, and order one sharpish!

ShopTo's current price for the game is £14.85, which'll make you a saving of almost £1.50 on the next best offer of £16.19 from DVD.co.uk.

As an on rails shooter, Umbrella Chronicles definitely brings the fun of old arcade visits into the comfort of your own living room, and is best enjoyed with a friend in two-player co-op mode, during which you'll definitely share your opinions on each others computer games proficiency as you battle a horde of undead assailants. For fans of the series, the narration by Wekser, the ability to replay old scenes from previous games, and the addition of playable events that run parallel to some of the original games' story-lines, are all big selling points.

However, this is a Resident Evil game that despite a few interesting story threads is only intended for a bit of fun. Light gun games where you fight the undead generally aren't scary and are just about destroying as many walking corpses as possible in the shortest amount of time, and this is no exception. On the one hand this can be an incredibly satisfying experience but on the other hand you can't help but feel a tiny bit disappointed that there aren't any jump out of your seat moments or times when your heart is pounding against your chest from fear, which the old Resident Evil games were so good at doing.

If you're a fan of the series then you should definitely pick up a copy, although if you've never played a Resident Evil title before you shouldn't worry because the sections of the story from previous games have been retold pretty much word for word, but if I'm being honest you should probably go and invest in the older titles first, as they're all amazing games.
