Rising Star Games Reveals 2012 Lineup

Rising Star Games, the niche publishing house famed for bringing Japanese games to PAL territories, has announced their current 2012 lineup that includes a new focus on 3DS games. We can expect five 3DS titles to release over the next few months, along with the previously-confirmed BIT.TRIP collections, Way Of The Samurai 4 for PS3 and Akai Katana on Xbox 360. It'll likely be one of the last CAVE ports, though, now that the veteran SHMUP designer is going social.

Full lineup after the break.

Martin Defries, Rising Star Games managing director, believes that ramping up their 3DS support will pay dividends - both for the company and for us gamers.

We’re huge fans of the Nintendo 3DS, the freedom it affords developers, and the unmatched fun it brings to the world of gamers. We’ve searched the world over to find some of the most compelling products which showcase the 3DS and the unique experiences it can offer. 2012 will be a big year for us, with some of the most enjoyable games across five formats and as many genres – we’re going to start the New Year running, catch us if you can!

Here's the schedule so far, liable to change over the coming months.

Q1 2012

  • BIT.TRIP COMPLETE (Wii)
  • BIT.TRIP SAGA (3DS)
  • Cradle of Persia (DS)

Q2 2012

  • Cradle of Rome 2 (3DS)

Dear oh dear Jonathan; I'd expect you to know that Akai Katana is a CAVE game. It was released last year in Japan.
