Harvest Moon Reaches 1 Million UK Sales
After announcing a commission for thirty pieces of limited edition artwork for the upcoming PAL release of Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar and Rune Factory 3, Rising Star Games has confirmed that many of these bespoke character art cards will be exclusively available to customers who pre-order through GAME. The "first set" of Higusa Matsuyama's artwork will be available to all who purchase the game, but the second and third sets will be pre-order incentives for GAME customers who get involved ahead of the September launch.
In other news, Rising Star is delighted to announce that the Harvest Moon franchise has shifted over one million copies in the UK. We've got more details below.
The independent British publisher who thrives on bringing niche Japanese titles such as Deathsmiles and Harvest Moon to the UK are "ecstatic" about reaching the milestone, and believes that it proves the huge demand for Japanese imports in PAL territories.
Reaching 1 million sales of Harvest Moon is certainly a cause for celebration and we are ecstatic. This is a huge achievement for us. It goes to show what a strong market there is for Japanese games in the PAL market and that Rising Star Games is one of the top independent publishers in the UK. - Managing Director Martin Defries
Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar is set for a September release, followed by King Of Fighters XIII and DoDonPachi Resurrection Deluxe on the Xbox 360.
