Robocraft: What do you think of it?

Not sure if I entered the wrong search string, but I can't find any articles on Robocraft, which is interesting given the history of how the game as developed and the way it is now. As a free to play without a pay-to-win element (granted, pay-to-skip-the-grind, but anyway) which you can design your own battle-tank, or aircraft, or a one wheeled "THIS IS MY GUN!" craft would attract you guys instantly.

So, I'll start a discussion on it - do any of you play it, and if so what do you think of it? Is it going anywhere, or will it be another game to melt into the background of the gaming history?

Oh man, Robocraft. I played a bit of it last year at Develop Brighton and enjoyed it, but a short session wasn't really enough to write an article on for a game like this. Always meant to jot down something but it just ended up slipping under my radar (unwittingly suggesting that I feel it's "another game to melt into the background of the gaming history", maybe?).

I hope it isn't. Love the concept, customisation and monetization model - might try to pen something on a slow day.
