Well it was inevitable. A new tidbit of Battlefield news, from an "unofficial, but very reliable source" has surfaced, suggesting that EA may well be about to unleash a premium service for Battlefield 3, not unlike Call of Duty: Elite.
According to a snippet courtesy of Battlefieldo, this premium service will yield access to a "number of content drops" that can't be found anywhere else.
Battlefield Premium will land you a number of content drops with unique in-game items not available anywhere else. First out is the one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapon camos, dog tags and Assignments that will make sure you stand out and get more personalization options.
The timetable from which this information was taken, suggests that the news will drop on June 4th, the day of the EA E3 2012 presser, and it also points towards a fifth DLC drop. Close Quarters is due June 12th, with Armored Kill and End Game due later this year to bring the tally to four, following Back To Karkand, but the timetable highlights an enigmatic fifth due next March.
