RUMOUR: Black Ops 2 Reveal A Fortnight Away?

Kotaku (as per usual) has happened upon an interesting banner from an anonymous retail source, which strongly suggests that a Black Ops 2 reveal is set for May 2nd. The Treyarch and Activision logos are clearly visible, so if trustworthy, this would mark the first direct sequel that Treyarch have developed. Multiple sources have outed Black Ops 2 previous to this, so the evidence is mounting up.

Black Ops 2 already has competition in the shape of Medal Of Honor: Warfighter, currently in development at arch-rival Danger Close and slated for a similar projected launch date. This Christmas will be the battle of the 'B-Teams,' and we can't wait to see what Treyarch plans to bring to the table.

Why is a banner that purely gives a date and no information on an actual game kept secret?

More importantly, how is yet another Call of Duty game being released on its yearly schedule news?

No idea. :|

Because, basically, CoD has an enormous fanbase who are ravenous for new intel.

With MW3 having a user score of 2.2 on metacritic and loads and loads of players saying "enough is enough" with the uninspired series, I don't know.

I do know that the next CoD will sell to some regardless of how good it is... but I know the series has burned enough people with MW3 that it would take an amazing game to bring them back. In fact, everyone I know has left CoD and said they wont go back.

I certainly wont be pre-ordering this one and will wait and see how it looks and works first.

Same. After pretty much throwing £40 down the toilet for mw3 and 5 hours of gameplay, there's no way I'd get any COD franchise game on release again.
