It looks like Lucid Games, the small team formed by a bunch of ex-Bizarre staffers back in 2011 might well be at work on a new Project Gotham Racing title for Microsoft's next-gen Xbox if a recent report is to be believed.A recent post from STFUandPlay reports that "ex-Bizarre and Criterion developers are working on a next generation PGR5 game for the next Xbox", and that the developers are "taking the existing PGR code base and upgrading it for the next generation Xbox".
A little look on the Lucid site reveals a blurry image of what appears to be a London road - complete with a red phonebox and Big Ben in the background. The picture itself appears to be titled 'Sky Light'...make of that what you will.
Alongside that, the report also claims that one of the teams at Evolution Studios, is working on what internal staff have titled "Europe’s biggest racing game in a decade" for the PS3.
It's rumoured that this particular game will be shown off during Sony's presser on February 20th, alongside an announcement from Killzone studio Guerilla Games.
Thanks for the tip SRP.
