Here we go again: more next-gen Xbox rumours to argue about, discuss or simply ignore out of hand. This latest report alleges that Crytek-developed Kinect action game Ryse and a new Forza title will play a key role in the console's launch lineup, with the former billed as the headline act.
The Verge have ostensibly heard from sources "familiar with Microsoft's Xbox plans," who claim that the perpetually delayed Ryse "is designed to be Microsoft's new Gears of War / Halo mega launch title." Apparently the improved accuracy of Kinect 2.0 will make the painful flailing of the past a distant memory, making first-person medieval hack & slash combat intuitive to control with our bare hands.
A new Forza title with ""super life-like" visuals will reportedly be available at launch, alongside a zombie game, child friendly Pixar-esque title with Augmented Reality features and several other third party offerings.
Just in case you'd forgotten all about Ryse over the last couple of years, here's the latest trailer (from E3 2011). We'll have to wait for Microsoft's official reveal for confirmation, which will take place next month according to yet another report.
