Ryse: Son Of Rome Videos Show Gory Executions

Ryse: Son Of Rome is all about slaughtering the enemies of the empire with extreme prejudice, often using gory QTE-assisted executions. Three of which you can watch below thanks to a new sequence of videos for the Xbox One launch title.

It's out on... who'd have guessed it... November 22nd. We hope that it pleasantly surprises us following a less-than-thrilling reveal.

It might get a little bit of play if it were given away for free with the console, but I'm currently seeing absolutely zero appeal in this game.

Charging fifty quid for it? Good luck with that.

It will bomb.

It's simply going to get lost in the shuffle of the Christmas releases.

Who's going to get this over Watch Dogs, Arkham Origins, AC4 Black Flag, etc, etc.

Within a week or so (maybe even on day 1 - if they don't sell out ) retailers will be bundling this with the Xbone to get shut of the stock.

It'll be one of those "pick it up cheap when nothing good is coming out" games. Does look like a total snore fest. I don't think Crytek are particularly good at making games anyway. Engines yes, games - not so much.

I'm always shocked when devs release games like this during the peak season.

If they waited till February or March, they'd probably sell far more due to the lack of competition.
