I've just returned from a few days away, my sunburn contrasting wildly with my sickly jaundiced hide, only to be confronted by some disappointing news from Croteam and Devolver Digital. Anticipated (and insane) shooter Serious Sam 3: BFE has been pushed back until November 22nd, meaning that it will be going head to head with some of this year's most serious releases. We'll be keeping an eye on it nonetheless.
Apparently the decision to delay SS3: BFE has been made to secure some extra polishing time (as usual) - as well as the opportunity to add more "sweet, sweet action."
Serious Sam 3: BFE is the next evolution in our beloved franchise and the team wants to take a little extra time to make it perfect for Serious Sam fans worldwide. The game is playing wonderfully and looks great so we are going through to balance the difficulty and fine tune the code to eliminate any technical issues at launch. And we’ll probably add some more enemies to the hordes to blow your mind. - Davor Hunski, Chief Creative Guy at Croteam
Looks like the wife is going to have to wait on pumping up the milk pillows until I’m rolling in that filthy Serious Sam3: BFE cash money. Nobody likes a half-assed titjob. Nobody. - Fork Parker, (fictional) Devolver Digital CFO.
Croteam will be giving away the occasional free pre-order over at their Facebook page.
